Gordon Hempton is the acoustic ecologist who captured all of the sounds within the app. Gordon has circled the globe three times in pursuit of the Earth’s rarest sounds. He uses a unique microphone system to replicate 3-D human hearing and create one-of-a-kind, immersive soundscapes. His recordings have earned him an Emmy and been featured by the Discovery Channel and National Geographic.

Meryl Arnett is our head of meditation. Meryl has been teaching and practicing meditation for more than a decade, and her passion is introducing mindfulness in ways that are accessible to all of us. Her classes are a mash-up of creative inspirations, ancient teachings, and her own experiences on the meditation cushion.

Roots offers an auto-renewing monthly subscription at $5.99/month and an auto-renewing yearly subscription at $39.99/year to provide you with unlimited access to the Roots Premium Content while you maintain an active subscription.

Payment will be charged to the credit card connected to your iTunes Account when you confirm the initial subscription purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and the cost of the renewal will be identified.
